Our wide direct‑to‑store distribution network, comprising 17 depots nationwide, enables us to deliver 10,500 daily deliveries of chilled and frozen produce, both in‑house and third‑party.
What you'll be doing
We are developing bespoke applications using IoT and cloud‑native event streaming to turn our production lines into real‑time data insights, improving efficiency. At the same time, we support live services across the country, run round‑the‑clock, and shape our technology strategy for core systems such as ERP, HR, logistics, engineering and supply chain solutions.
* Develop an excellent understanding of business processes to solve problems and improve technology.
* Perform regular system monitoring to verify the availability and integrity of software resources.
* Perform regular security and performance monitoring, implement and respond to alerts.
* Participate in incident and problem resolution, including root‑cause analysis to minimize impact.
* Communicate risks, operational problems and incidents accurately and when necessary, upscale.
* Respond to support requests in a timely fashion to meet service levels and ensure quality customer service.
* Follow controls over implementations and changes, maintaining documentation and reference resources for application changes.
* Identify gaps in services, recommend solutions, and contribute to service improvement.
* Champion service transitions from projects.
What we're looking for
* Experience in implementing and supporting applications.
* Ability to understand business processes and work cross‑functionally to resolve technical problems in areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Warehousing, HR and Reporting.
* iSeries/A400 technical skills.
* Knowledge of Infor System 21, Navision, Great Plains, Tropos, Qliksense, Kronos, EDI integrations, PowerApps (desirable).
* Basic server technical skills, including SQL databases and T‑SQL.
* Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills.
* Strong analytical and presentation skills.
* Good business acumen.
* Ability to work well in a team environment and autonomously.
* Good customer service skills.
* Flexible and able to make good judgement where applicable.
* Ability to influence and convince users at management level with new ideas to improve business procedures and IT systems.
* Full clean UK Driver’s licence and vehicle.
* Participate in an on‑call rota.
