VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a growing business in the Ballymena area, who are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to become part of their team. The company will provide a study support package.
What youll do:
* Reconcile and process purchase invoices using bespoke accounting software.
* Approve and release sales orders in line with company procedures.
* Carry out credit control duties, including contacting customers to request payments and resolving queries.
* Perform monthly reconciliations for bank and credit card statements.
* Assist with VAT and Intrastat submissions, and support the processing of weekly and monthly payroll.
About you:
* 1-2 years’ experience working in a finance or accounting function (e.g. Accounts Payable, Receivable, or Payroll).
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting and payroll software.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional manner.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small, collaborative finance team.
