About the Role
As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you'll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, to help us deliver the high quality care and service we're known for. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you'll help implement action plans that ensure residents' needs are met. Taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, you will support care standards, motivate your team, and lead a multidisciplinary team to help residents enjoy the best possible quality of life. You will set high standards, monitor outcomes through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will develop and deliver strategies to achieve goals. This position will be primarily based at Kingfisher Lodge, in Saltford (BS31 3BG).
About You
To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience in a nursing home setting is essential, with evidence of continual professional development. Experience in assisting residents with different health needs is important, as is a track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We’ll also look for some HR experience, a working knowledge of sales and marketing, budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You should be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in a dynamic environment. Flexibility and willingness to travel are required.

Required Qualifications and Experience
