Temporary Accounts Assistant (2-Month Contract)
Location: New Romney Rate:£20 per hour (Umbrella) Duration: 2 months Immediate start preferred
We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a 2‑month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience and essential SAP knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Raising and reviewing customer statements
* Managing purchase ledger processes (invoices, queries, reconciliations)
* Assisting with rebates calculations and tracking
* Preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
* Completing bank reconciliations
* Supporting VAT returns
* Handling Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) processes and reporting
About the Role
You’ll be working closely with Louise, who will provide full guidance and support. Comprehensive written manuals are in place, so you’ll have everything you need to get up to speed quickly.
Requirements
* Proven experience using SAP (essential)
* Previous experience in an accounts assistant / finance role
* Strong understanding of core accounting processes
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to hit the ground running in a fast‑paced environment
