Job Description

Sand is a finite resource, and it’s running out. Today, population growth and the pace of progress mean the world is devouring sand like never before – 50 billion tonnes a year globally. This demand is unsustainable. Together with our customers we have already diverted over 100 million tonnes of waste material from landfills and put it back into the materials market for use in construction; protecting sand & aggregates in areas where natural material reserves are in decline and enabling production to happen closer to markets. We are minimising environmental impact and laying the foundations for the circular economy, and we need your help.


About the Role

This is not a role for the faint-hearted. As Head of Marketing, you will be the strategic architect of CDE’s global voice, crafting stories that don’t just sell solutions, but shift mindsets. You won’t just lead a team, you’ll lead a movement that challenges convention, inspires action, and positions CDE as the most trusted and transformative brand in sustainable materials processing. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of our marketing strategy, from brand to demand, from insight to execution. You’ll lead a high-performing team of creatives, analysts, storytellers, and digital pioneers to deliver campaigns that don’t just generate leads, they generate momentum. You’ll ensure our message resonates with customers, partners, policymakers, and the wider public. Your influence will stretch across every region and every sector we serve. You’ll work hand-in-hand with business development, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure marketing is not a support function, but a strategic engine of growth. You’ll bring clarity to complexity and energy to execution, strengthening our commitment to building customers for life. You’ll see the world through our customers’ eyes, regularly meeting them in market, on site, and in their operations, because these conversations are the most important we can have. You’ll also be a key member of the leadership team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the business, representing marketing at the highest levels, and ensuring that every touchpoint with CDE reflects our ambition to build a better world. Whether it’s launching a new market, or responding to a global challenge, you’ll be at the centre of it, leading with purpose, delivering with precision, and inspiring with passion.

It’s December 2026. You have just completed your first year as Head of Marketing at CDE, and it has been a year defined by impact. In May, you led the team that delivered CIRCLE 2026 in Brussels, CDE’s flagship symposium on circularity. The two day event brought together global voices, including environmental pioneers and policymakers to explore how we redefine waste and recover value. Under your leadership, the marketing team shaped every aspect of the event’s identity, messaging and reach. Earlier in the year, you elevated CDE’s presence at CONEXPO in Las Vegas and Hillhead in the United Kingdom, positioning the brand on two of the industry’s most influential stages. You helped connect our purpose with our commercial goals, showing not just what we do but why it matters. Your first year has been marked by strategic clarity, creative excellence and deep collaboration. You have built strong relationships across the business, embedded a demand‑led mindset in your team and helped position CDE as a trusted voice in the global conversation on resource recovery. As the year closes, you are already looking ahead, ready to build on the momentum of 2026, deepen our impact and continue shaping the future of marketing at CDE.

Required Criteria

* Have delivered highprofile campaigns and events, including global exhibitions and thought leadership platforms, with demonstrable outcomes in brand positioning and lead generation.
* Are confident representing marketing at leadership level, contributing to company-wide strategy and influencing crossfunctional decisionmaking.
* Are commercially minded, with a proven track record of aligning marketing strategy to business development goals and contributing directly to revenue growth.
* e led multidisciplinary marketing teams, including brand, digital, content, communications, and demand generation— delivering measurable impact across global markets.
* Hold a degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, and possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing leadership — including at least 2 years at a senior level within a global B2B environment
* Have experience in the engineering, construction, or environmental sectors.
* Are fluent in a second language and have experience working in cross-cultural teams.
* Have led go-to-market initiatives at scale.


Desired Criteria

* Have experience managing significant budgets, reporting to senior stakeholders, and using data to inform decisions, optimise spend, and demonstrate ROI.
* Understand and advocate for CDE’s purpose, with a strong interest in sustainability, circularity, and the long-term value of resource recovery
