About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and personable Site Assistant to work at the front gate at a welcoming secondary school in Derby with immediate effect. This is an important front-facing role, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and contractors arriving on site.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and professional operation of our school entrance.
Key Responsibilities
Meeting and greeting visitors, parents, students, and contractors at the school gate
Directing visitors to appropriate locations across the school site
Assisting individuals with the school’s sign-in procedures
Ensuring safeguarding and security procedures are followed at all times
Communicating clearly and professionally with staff and visitors
Reporting any concerns promptly to senior staff
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be friendly, approachable, and confident communicating with a wide range of people
Demonstrate a calm and professional manner
Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
Be punctual and dependable
Understand the importance of safeguarding in a school environment
Previous experience in a school, customer service, or reception environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
