As a Legal PA, you will provide high-quality, proactive support to partners and fee earners, making a tangible impact on the team's success.
The Role
Legal PA - Glasgow - Up to £35,000 salary
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with Finance to support fee earners in improving financial performance, including billing, reporting, matter balances, and working capital management
* Collaborate with Business Development to coordinate events and conferences, maintain CRM records, and update CVs for bids, tenders, and pilot submissions
* Organise and attend internal and client meetings, prepare impactful reports, and assist with planning client events
* Manage end-to-end matter processes: ensure correct rate application, draft engagement letters, and liaise with the Business Acceptance Unit
* Conduct conflict checks and Client Due Diligence, ensuring full compliance with Client Matter Inception procedures
* Oversee file management, including WIP monitoring, billing, payments, matter closures, and archiving
* Provide full diary and travel management, including itinerary planning, resolving scheduling conflicts, and booking cost-effective travel solutions
* Ensure all meeting requirements are met, including preparation of materials, itineraries, and hospitality arrangements
* Deliver strong technical support to fee earners, proactively identifying and addressing any knowledge gaps
* Uphold risk and compliance policies, escalating issues to Partners or the Compliance team when necessary
The Candidate
* A minimum of three years’ experience in a professional services or legal environment
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
* A track record of delivering outstanding client service
* Strong ability to collaborate as part of a team while also thriving independently
