The Role As facilities and Security Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our 10 premises, including 7 warehouses, our head office, and a fast-fit centre. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management, maintenance, and security protocols to ensure a secure and efficient working environment for the whole business. This newly created role will be pivotal in continuing the companys substantial growth and the right candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate their drive and skillset to all key stakeholders in the business from day one. The successful candidate will be highly organised and diligent individual, with a passion for setting standards and ensuring the companies properties are uncompromisingly safe and secure. They will be a team player ensuring everybody in the organisation plays their part in delivering a safe, well maintained, and secure workplace. Key Responsibilities Facilities Management Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of all 10 premises, lighting, plumbing, heating and other building systems Conduct regular audits to identify and address maintenance and repair needs Oversee third party cleaning services to maintain a clean and organised workplace Manage supplier relationships for facilities-related services Maintenance Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all premises and equipment Respond to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies Arrange repairs and maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations Security Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures across all premises Monitor and maintain access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarms Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities Safety and Compliance Monitor compliance with company health and safety policies and standards Conduct regular safety training with employees and contractors Keep up-to-date with industry best practices in facilities management, maintenance, and security Maintain a comprehensive approved supplier catalogue Develop and implement an effective permit to work system Budget Management Assist in the preparation and management of the facilities budget, including cost estimation and tracking expenses Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising safety and efficiency The person Experience in facilities management, maintenance, and security roles Strong organisational and project management skills Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills BSc/BA in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field Willingness to travel across the UK To apply for the role please send a cover letter alongside your CV The package Competitive basic salary of £40,000 Life Insurance 4 X basic salary Company Contribution Pension Scheme Company discounts Enhanced maternity / paternity pay Free on-site parking
