Solicitor/ Associate/ Senior Associate - Private Wealth Disputes role at Hugh James in Cardiff. 0-8 years PQE. The successful candidate will join the dedicated Private Wealth Disputes team and work on contested will, trust and estate matters, with opportunities to supervise junior lawyers and contribute to team growth.
Our top ranked Private Wealth Disputes team handles will disputes, Inheritance Act claims, onshore and offshore trust disputes, equitable claims and Court of Protection disputes. The team acts for individuals, professional executors, trust corporations, charities and financial institutions.
Responsibilities
* Join our Private Wealth Disputes team in Cardiff as a Solicitor/ Associate/ Senior Associate (0-8 years PQE).
* Work on the full range of contested will, trust and estate work.
* Assist with the supervision of junior lawyers in the team.
* Drive the team growth strategy alongside the head of department.
* Demonstrate a strong track record for business development and organisational skills.
* Be able to work unsupervised while managing a team of junior lawyers.
* Collaborate effectively in a collegiate department with support from the head of department.
* Hold ACTAPS and, ideally, STEP diplomas.
Qualifications and requirements
* 0-8 years PQE, Solicitor/ Associate/ Senior Associate level.
* ACTAPS qualification; STEP diplomas preferred.
* Strong business development skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
* Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Based in or willing to work in Cardiff office.
