Job Title: HGV Driver
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £15.86 p/h to £25.16p/h.
Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail, the UK's designated Universal Postal Service Provider, HGV Drivers for Gloucester site. If you are looking for work, then look no further, as our onsite team at across the country are looking for Drivers to start work immediately.
As an HGV Driver, after successfully completing an assessment, you will be required to trunk parcels and mail between depots across the Royal Mail Network. There is manual work and shifts are offered 1 week in advance.
We have competitive pay rates and an array of start times and days available to suit. Ideally, we are looking for candidates that are willing to be flexible and accommodate shift that may not suit everyone.
We are keen to speak to any Drivers that can work weekends or start in the afternoon and working into the evening or nights
To meet entry requirements, you will have:
" Held your licence for a minimum of 2 years with no more than 5 penalty points.
" (Ideally a clean licence would, be much better as once you go over 5 point the assignment could be ended.)
" You will need to have a minimum of 180 days driving experience within the last 2 years. Driving the relevant category for commercial use.
" Have no more than 10 infringements over a 12-month period. Also, with no more than 6 of the same categories over 6 months
" So, checking your Digi tacho before assessment would be beneficial for everyone as this will be an instant failure.
" Fully comfortable with doing manual entries on the Digi tacho is essential.
We do not accept any DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
Due to the nature of our client's business, you will be required to clear a CRB security check following the point of registration.
In return, HGV Driver will receive:
" Pay rates £15.86 p/h to £25.16p/h. Depending on shift start/finish time.
" Minimum daily hours guaranteed.
" Option to lock into desired shift pattern following successful completion of driving assessment. If they are available.
" Accrued holiday pay.
" Access to pension (PAYE).
" Local agency office/consultants based onsite.
" Weekly pay.
" Will be added to a work management system giving you full control of your work life balance for days you wish to work as long as the shift are available on those day.
" We would prefer that you could commit to the peak periods as this is vital for the clients' requirements.
" Onsite canteen facility.
" Onsite car parking.
