We are looking for an Operations Training Lead to join AWE within the HR function. This is an exciting time to join AWE as we are going through a period of growth and change.

The ideal candidate is someone who is a leader in technical training who has relevant operational experience and is familiar with the requirement to maintain the competency status of staff in a highly regulated environment.

Package

£56,300 - £88,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

What will you be required to do?

* Consolidate and identify the efficiencies and potential for standardising training delivery
* Influence both at a strategic level and in the day to day implementation of training process and governance
* Lead the development of future training strategy for an operational workforce based in new facilities with new ways of working
* Assist the cultural change necessary to transition from existing to new ways of working
* Help define and develop training facility requirements to support the current and future workforce
* Lead the team responsible for delivering current and future technical training delivery and support the development of initial training curricula
* Help to standardise technical competency requirements across the new operational area
* Help support the development of the technical requirements into future operational career pathways


Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:

* Good general standard of education
* Strong influencing skills at senior levels
* A leader in technical training who has relevant operational experience
* Familiar with the requirement to maintain the competency status of staff in a highly regulated environment
* Have a systems approach to training experience – and be able to deploy technical training requirements pragmatically
* Team orientated who responds well to change and leading multidisciplinary teams
* Ability to present to a variety of stakeholders in various situations
* Problem solving skills
* Expert coaching skills and ability to inspire confidence in others

This job role is suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.
