Overview
Business Development Manager – Affinity Partnerships at Seopa Ltd, Belfast, United Kingdom. Hybrid working pattern.
Responsibilities
* Identify and negotiate new strategic partnerships to drive growth.
* Create and deliver presentations to win new business opportunities.
* Lead high-stakes negotiations for commercially robust partnerships.
* Follow up on inbound inquiries and develop outbound leads and opportunities.
* Serve as a subject matter expert on Seopa’s value for partners and their customers.
* Monitor market trends and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
* Improve and optimise new business sales processes and provide pipeline forecasts.
* Organise and attend new business meetings to support growth.
* Collaborate with Product Management, IT, Marketing and other functions to aid business development.
* Input to marketing collateral to support partnership acquisition and development.
* Mentor, coach and supervise junior team members; perform additional tasks as required.
You may be required to attend meetings or conferences (primarily within the UK).
Qualifications
* Degree in a business or IT field, ideally 2:1 or equivalent; relevant sector experience.
* Significant experience (5+ years) in B2B sales or partnership development with a track record of winning high-value accounts.
* Proven success in negotiating and closing high-value, strategic partnerships with measurable impact.
* Strong target-driven background with history of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
* Tenacity and ability to outperform targets in competitive markets; resilient under pressure.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills; able to engage with senior stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; proficient in MS Office (Excel).
* Growth mindset with ability to self-educate and adapt.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience in partnerships or channel business development.
* Experience in IT, e-commerce, fintech or financial services environments.
* Knowledge of digital marketing strategies (PPC, SEO, SEM) and AI-driven optimization tools.
* Experience using AI to automate and improve processes.
* Understanding of web/software development; familiarity with HubSpot, CRM and Google Analytics.
