Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with the option to work as few as 12 hours.

As the face of Tesco out on the road, we deliver all the way from Lands End to John OGroats. Our Customer Delivery Drivers get the opportunity to meet and talk to different customers in their homes every day. The role is about more than driving – its about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.
It is hands‑on, physical and full of variety. No two shifts are ever the same and our customers look for help in a variety of ways. For most of the day you feel like your own boss, delivering to your customers while a team of managers and colleagues at base supports you when needed.

Responsibilities
* Keep the van and trays clean and tidy.
* Maintain a clean, tidy back yard and pick up litter.
* Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Load the van as required and check its roadworthiness.
* Communicate changes to customers, including short‑codes, substitutions, and refunds.
* Treat products and deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explain to customers that substitutions will not incur additional charges.
* Deliver during the customers scheduled time slot.
* Call the customer before arrival if early.
* Call the store if running 30 minutes or more late.
Requirements
* Build relationships with colleagues for a positive team spirit.
* Be warm and welcoming in all interactions.
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change.
* Possess energy and drive to deliver beyond expectations.
* Share ideas with managers and colleagues for improvement.
* Have a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) with at least 12 months and no more than 3 penalty points.
