Mainscale and UPS (£32,916- £51,048 M1 to UPS3 TLR (£3527) Ideally required from September 2026 Part and full time roles considered. The Governors of Blakeley Heath Primary School are seeking to appoint a dynamic, proactive individual who shares our vision and commitment to ensure the very best for all our pupils. The position will be responsible for the provision, support and inclusion of our most vulnerable pupils. Working with the Head teacher and Governors, you will be a key contributor in driving school improvement, moving teaching and learning forwards for groups and individuals and ensuring a positive and inclusive ethos throughout school. The successful candidate will: Work in accordance with the Teachers’ Pay and Conditions of Employment, the Code of Practice for SEND, and the policies of the school. Determine alongside the headteacher and senior leadership team, the strategic direction, development and practice of inclusive provision in the school. Regularly review the school’s inclusion policy and guidelines and all related policies. Work as part of the senior leadership team, to support the effective deployment of support staff and resources, advising funding for SEND and Pupil Premium, in relation to the annual budget allocation. Ensure that the local and school offer meets the needs of pupils and that provision is monitored and evaluated for effectiveness. Foster respect and good relationships between all pupils and adults involved in the school community. Maintain the SEND / PP register and oversee all records, individual plans and programmes of work, including those relating to health needs. Liaise between teachers, parents, learning support staff, governors and the relevant external agencies. Source and secure relevant outside agency support where appropriate. Arrange and chair all reviews of pupils, including EHCP and PEP, compiling any reports necessary. Ensure the smooth transition of those pupils from minority groups to and from the school and at key transition points. Support, guide and motivate colleagues, particularly by disseminating examples of effective practice and organising appropriate continuing professional development. Ensure that all groups of pupils are identified early, make good progress and parents are informed of their development. Support the vision, ethos, aims and strategic direction of the school and demonstrate flexibility, when required, to meet the needs of the pupils and the needs of the school. Understanding of safeguarding and the need to protect the welfare of children at all times. Ensure planning and resourcing of provisions is appropriate to group and individual needs. Currently, our Leader for Inclusion is employed three days a week with one afternoon cover in nursery. We are able to consider both full and part time applications, and can discuss teaching commitments, days etc. with the successful candidate. This is a significant role in school and we appreciate the time it requires for someone to be effective. Our leader for Inclusion is a key member of our senior leadership team and we are looking for someone to work with and challenge external agencies for the best for our pupils.
