Do you have extensive experience developing and executing a procurement strategy that supports project delivery, supply chain, and long-term growth? Kingston Barnes has a fantastic opportunity for our client in the Bedford area to join their high performing team as a procurement manager. Our client specialises in bespoke engineered solutions. From concept to delivery, this company supplies their customers with high performance equipment.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with business objectives, project requirements, and growth plans
* Manage supplier and framework agreements to improve cost competitiveness
* Provide early procurement input during tender stages
* Ensure procurement plans are aligned with cash flow requirements and project schedules
* Manage procurement related cost performance, supplier claims, and variations
* Improve capital outcomes through payment term negotiations
* Identify and manage supply chain risks
About you / Qualifications
* Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within engineering, manufacturing, of OEM equipment environment
* Strong financial acumen with experience negotiating complex supplier agreements
* Proven ability to manage procurement across multiple projects
* Strong communicator
* Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
* A formal qualification in Supply chain, procurement, or engineering is desirable
