Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner (RMN) – Maternity Cover
We are seeking an experienced RMN to cover maternity for the Perinatal Mental Health Team (Cluster 3) covering North Manchester, Tameside, Glossop, Oldham, Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of women and birthing people experiencing perinatal mental illness, collaborating with service users and other professionals.
* Coordinate complex packages of care for both mother/birthing person and infant.
* Participate in the duty worker rota.
* Complete routine and urgent assessments of women to evaluate mental health, risk, and safeguarding.
* Work closely with colleagues in Early Attachment services, IAPT services, maternity services, health visiting, and children’s services.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Experienced RMN with a person-centred approach and genuine interest in supporting women and birthing people.
* Excellent communication and multi‑agency liaison skills.
* Valid driving licence to travel across service geography.
* Experience in monitoring/assessing maternal mental health problems during and after pregnancy and infant care up to one year.
