This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established and friendly accountancy practice based in our Crediton Office. We are currently looking for Accounts Seniors and Client Managers. For the right candidate there is potential for Partner progression.
The role includes a mixture of the following:
* Preparing Accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
* Preparing Rental Accounts
* Preparing Tax Computations, Corporation Tax Returns and Self-Assessment Tax Returns
* Preparing Management Accounts
* Preparing and submit VAT Returns
* Capital Gains tax work including 60-day CGT Reports
* Assisting and dealing with one off assignments such as Let Property Campaign reports
* Ensuring that client's tax and accountancy needs are met whether that be through tax planning, dealing with ad-hoc queries etc.
* Monitoring and being well organised to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner
* Working closely with other team members, including supervising junior team members & reviewing their work as well as providing support to other managers
* Good communication with clients whether this be face to face, by telephone and/or email and developing and maintaining good relationships with clients
* Communication with third parties including HMRC as and when required
* Use of various software packages (Xero, Quickbooks, etc)
About You
You'll have the following attributes:
* You should hold an accountancy qualification. Ideally, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, but AAT or ATT qualified will be considered with sufficient practice experience
* At least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in practice
* A proven track record of delivering tax and accountancy services for clients.
* Excellent technical knowledge of tax legislation and accounting standards, along with ability to research and form an opinion on relevant matters
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Experience with Xero would be preferable but not essential.
