As a Heating & Gas Engineer, youll be the go-to expert for heating and hot water systems across a large and varied estate.
From historic school buildings to state-of-the-art sports facilities, youll diagnose, maintain, repair and upgrade systems that keep everything running smoothly.Youll be using a tablet to manage tasks through a smart CAFM systemno paperwork, no confusionand working alongside a wider Estates team that knows the value of skilled trades.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair domestic and commercial heating systemsConduct routine servicing of boilers, PRVs, and expansion vesselsEnsure all works are completed to Gas Safe standardsInstall pipework and systems as part of heating upgradesUse the CAFM system via tablet to manage and record tasksCollaborate with the wider Estates team on projects and refurbishmentsUphold health & safety practices in all aspects of the workEngage with long-term sustainability goals, including heat pump systems and modern controlsWhat Were Looking ForACS Qualified: CCN1, CENWAT & HTR1City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in mechanical services or equivalent experienceGas Safe RegisteredFull UK Driving LicenceStrong working knowledge of gas legislation and safety protocolsExperience with varied pipework (iron, copper, lead, plastic)Familiarity with heating controls, pump technology, and water hygieneSolid understanding of H&S regulations including COSHH and asbestos awarenessComfortable using digital systems to log and manage workBenefitsCompetitive £38,000 salary39-hour contract, MondayFridayno endless overtimeOn-the-job autonomy and responsibilitySmart device and digital workflow systemWork in stunning surroundings across a heritage-rich estateSupportive team culture with long-term employment prospectsAccess to additional training and upskilling opportunitiesStability in a role that makes a real impact every dayWhy Join?Because this isnt just another contractor role.
