About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join us in delivering our undergraduate and postgraduate counselling programmes, which range from a Basic Counselling Skills 10-week course to our accredited Diplomas and MSc in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, team‑oriented, flexible individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presenting skills. The counselling team covers a range of theoretical approaches, practice and research interests, and we seek someone with practice experience in integrated counselling and different therapy modalities, as well as experience of group facilitation.
Main Responsibilities
* Play a role in the development and delivery of academic provision to undergraduate and postgraduate students, specifically in the area of counselling.
* Facilitate personal development sessions, skills, and supervision groups.
* Applicants with experience teaching in Higher Education may be asked to serve as an Academic Link Tutor for one of our partner providers.
* Contribute to University‑led and/or School initiatives and developments in line with strategic business development plans.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should:
* Currently practice as a counsellor, therapist or supervisor.
* Be an accredited member of the BACP, engaging in regular professional development in line with ethical guidelines.
* Hold an MSc in Counselling or Counselling Psychology, or a qualification in supervision, and relevant professional experience.
* Possess an MSc in Counselling or Counselling Psychology, a qualification in supervision, and relevant professional experience.
* Have experience of teaching and assessing in Higher Education (desirable).
