This post is a fixed-term position for 24 months, based in West and Midlothian.
NHS Scotland is committed to promoting equality and diversity within its workforce, aiming for a truly representative staff where every employee feels respected and able to perform at their best. We welcome applications from all sections of society.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Advanced Practitioner in Neurodevelopment to join the Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) team within the Community Paediatric team at NHS Lothian. The postholder will support and develop the Neurodevelopmental Pathway across NHS Lothian.

Applicants must be qualified Speech & Language Therapists with experience working with children and young people with diverse neurodevelopmental and communication conditions in health and education settings. Responsibilities include case management, assessment, evidence-based interventions, and monitoring/reporting outcomes. Familiarity with national developments in the Neurodevelopmental Pathway and promotion of the SLT role in this field are essential.
The Speech and Language Therapy Service is innovative and supportive, committed to improvement methodologies to provide high-quality, child- and family-centered care. All staff are encouraged to develop their skills through various CPD activities.
