We are an expanding company who provide opportunities for career development and growth, and we currently have Team Leader positions available in our brand new 3 bed home in Maghull. Our Manager and Operations Manager have a strong leadership background with positive outcomes with Ofsted regulators.

Responsibilities
* You will be the lead support on shift, mentoring and supporting new team members, reporting to the Manager and Deputy Manager, conducting supervisions and updating on progress or difficulties in relation to staff or young people and advising if management intervention is required.
* Your role will be to act as a Key worker where necessary to a specified individual child, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support.
* Ensuring all health and medical needs are met and supporting the child to advocate his/her own needs and wishes.
* Support children to access their education, promoting a learning environment where children can flourish.
* Your role will be to provide advice, assistance and support to children with Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and complex needs, with behaviour of concern, attending to their practical, physical and emotional needs.
* You will provide a high standard of care and support, in a professional manner, to vulnerable children, helping them build resilience through positive approaches.
* Assist the Manager and Deputy in ensuring that each child has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning.
* Review and monitor care plans and contribute to review reports as directed.
* Lead, support and participate in children’s social, educational and recreational activities in line with care plans, trips out and holidays.
* Liaise with other agencies/professionals as necessary in conjunction with Managers.
* Promote positive relationships with family and friends with the child.
* Record information about children and ensure communication with staff members if effective.
* Delegate tasks and ensure they are completed, well recorded and signed off by you as a team leader.
* Sleep-in duties.
* Promote good practice in the team in accordance with the home’s SOP and in line with all Company policies and procedures.
* Drive the team towards achieving organisational goals while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
* Ensure all Safeguarding is at the centre of yours and others practice, ensure policies and procedures are well understood and followed by team members.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
* 2 years experience of supporting children in a residential setting
* Proven experience in a leadership role within a residential children's care home.
* Strong understanding of senior care practices and the ability to create effective care plans.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage with children from diverse backgrounds.
* Experience in supervising staff and fostering a collaborative team culture.
* IT proficiency for maintaining records and documentation related to care plans and team management.
* Full Clean UK driving license
The post is subject to relevant safer recruitment checks and completion of an enhanced DBS check.

Education: Diploma of Higher Education (required)
Experience: Residential Childcare: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification: NVQ Level 3 / 4 Children and Families Residential Care (required)
