We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of the Council's plant machinery and equipment, ensuring they are safe, efficient and in good working order.
Key responsibilities:
* Servicing and repairing plant, equipment and vehicles
* Diagnosing faults and carry out preventative maintenance
* Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation
* Ensure all repairs comply with health and safety and relevant legislation
* Work effectively with colleagues and supervisors to minimise downtime of equipment.
We're looking for someone who:
* Has a minimum level 3 NVQ motor mechanic / plant equipment qualification or equivalent
* Can use systems confidently
* Has a helpful, can-do attitude
* Works well under pressure and as part of a team
* Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
