Corporate Solicitor

We are seeking a Corporate Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years PQE in corporate law to join our client's dynamic team. Day-to-day of the role:
* Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance.
* Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
* Conduct thorough due diligence investigations for corporate transactions, identifying potential risks and advising clients on mitigation strategies.
* Handle litigation issues such as disputes or claims, representing the client in court when necessary.
* Ensure the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
* Manage a portfolio of clients, provide tailored legal solutions and maintain strong client relationships.
* Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm’s corporate practice.
* Keep abreast of changes in corporate law and regulations and ensure that all processes adhere to current best practices and standards.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to corporate transactions and client interactions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
* Manage and run your own caseload of files.
* Manage a small team of Legal Assistants.
* Perform any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by your line manager or Director.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
* Minimum of 5 years of PQE in corporate law.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple cases and clients simultaneously.
* In-depth knowledge of corporate law and regulatory requirements.
* Proven track record of managing complex corporate legal work.
* Experience in supervising junior legal staff.
* Strong business acumen and understanding of the corporate environment.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
* Demonstrated ability to network effectively to develop and expand the department
