Housing Manager - Mid Market Rent
Glasgow with possible travel throughout Scotland
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw)

This is a great job opportunity for an experienced Mid-Market Housing Manager to join Home Groups awesome housing team. As our Housing Manager you’ll be the face-to-face customer support to our communities. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities.
Typical day as a Housing Manager
1. Through visibility, engagement with customers and pro-activity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities.
2. You’ll look after a number of patches and neighbourhoods (ably supported by our Housing Assistants).
3. Through visibility, engagement with customers and pro-activity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhoods.
4. Proactively managing arrears, voids and anti-social behaviour in our estates, responding to customer queries and complaints ensuring we achieve our KPI's.
5. Knowledge of the First Tier Tribunal and liaising with our solicitor in casework preparation. Liaising with partners, stakeholders and local authorities.
6. Carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.
7. We provide a service to factored owners within this team and you may occasionally be asked to support our specialist Factored Housing Manager.

About You
8. Have worked in housing before and understand housing management, housing law and in an ideal world, universal credit too!
9. Letting Agent Qualification is required with a preference of one year's experience
10. Super organised and methodical in your approach, you’re also a proactive self-starter with a “can do” positive attitude
11. Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
12. This job can challenge, especially when we’re dealing with complaints but your resilience will help you through.
13. Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MP’s etc
14. Like being part of a team but appreciate that this is a role where you’ll spend most of your time working in our local estates.

Job details
15. This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you’ll spend 3 days working from our community patches in Glasgow.
16. Although you’ll spend time in our neighbourhoods, we do get together regularly, we spend some days in the office in Glasgow and others working from home catching up on admin dependant on workload.
17. There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
18. We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you’ll be able to shape your own diary.
19. To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
20. You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
