Worley Consulting is currently seeking to fill the position of Consultant – Marine and Industrial Infrastructure for our Ports & Marine Service Linein the EMEA Region.
You'll be:
* Engage with studies and projects within the Transport Infrastructure and Logistics Group.
* Act as Associate Consultant in delivery of Port Consulting Services including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, and Master Plans related to the development of Shipyards.
* Be a Shipyards planning and Design SME drawing on experience in industry in shipyard operations from either an operator, or a Consultancy, or both.
* Support shipyard business development, delivery, construction, asset integrity and redevelopment within the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, traveling as necessary.
* Also expected to engage in the delivery of port and industrial infrastructure developments.
* Identify new business prospects within own area and beyond own scope, through working collaboratively across Service Lines and with other Worley Consulting leaders.
* Coordinate business development with Practice Lead.
* Ensure technical quality through implementation of best practice and continuous search for improvement.
* Promote cost-reduction and productivity-enhancing initiatives.
* Performing site visits & inspections, data gathering activities and technical evaluations that are relevant to assigned tasks and works.
* Participating in design review and advising on technical design and drafting issues and compliance requirements as appropriate.
* Lead the preparation of proposals.
* Maintain Cost and Quality Control on projects in accordance with Worley procedures.
You'll have:
* Experience in the design development and/or operation of shipyards
* Strong client relationships and focus, business development record and marketing skills for provision of energy infrastructure services
* Project management experience and skills
* Collaborative flexible worker
* Technology competent in improving delivery and performance
* Excellent ability to present information
* The individual will be expected to travel on occasion throughout the EMEA region
* Energy transition aspirations
* BEng(Hons) in Civil or Marine Engineering
* Master’s Degree related to the ports & maritime industry is desirable
* Chartered is desirable
* Advanced Written and Spoken English
* Several years experience in the ports consulting/engineering industry
