Civils Project Manager
Location: Cambridge and Peterborough
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits

We're working with a well-established civil engineering contractor on the lookout for a talented Project Manager to oversee schemes across the Eastern region, covering Cambridge and Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Project Manager with a background in highways and infrastructure to take charge of impactful civil engineering projects.
The role is suited to a forward-thinking Project Manager who thrives on responsibility and enjoys managing people, programmes, and performance. You'll be instrumental in ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of complex schemes.
What you'll be doing:
·Acting as lead Project Manager on-site, driving progress across infrastructure and highways works
·Leading site teams, operatives and subcontractors to deliver schemes safely and to programme
·Preparing and implementing project documentation - including method statements, risk assessments and management plans
·Monitoring contract performance against programme and budget, and reporting regularly to senior management
·Coordinating with clients, consultants and stakeholders to ensure the Project Manager's vision is clearly communicated and delivered
·Overseeing design input, technical reviews and ensuring buildability
·Supporting commercial teams with subcontractor procurement and package management
·Coaching and mentoring junior engineers and staff, fostering a positive site culture
·Ensuring a Project Manager's commitment to HSEQ standards is visible and consistent
What we're looking for:
·A civils Project Manager with a proven track record delivering infrastructure or highways schemes
·Exceptional leadership and organisational skills
·Confident managing change, subcontractors, and tight deadlines
·A recognised qualification in civil engineering (HNC/HND/BEng or equivalent)
·Valid SMSTS and CSCS
·First Aid at Work (preferred)
·A self-motivated Project Manager with the right to work in the UK
