TheRole:
We are looking to recruit anOperations Manager who will play a critical role in overseeing adiverse array of projects which often encompass the planningconstruction implementation and activation of civil mechanical andelectrical infrastructure for emerging developments.
As the successful role holder you will have fullresponsibility for ensuring projects are executed efficientlypunctually and within financial constraints all while adhering tothe mandatory health safety environmental and quality benchmarks.At the same time you will strive to fulfil clients expectations andspecific requirements.
The key responsibilitiesof the role are:
* Demonstrating strongleadership in effectively managing a collaborative team andfostering a cohesive workingenvironment.
* Managing a diverse portfolio ofprojects simultaneously ensuring each project is executedefficiently and to deadlines.
* Providingguidance and mentorship to your team supporting with theirprofessional growth.
* Delivering comprehensivereports to the Head of Operations offering insights into projectactivities and progress towards businessgoals.
* Overseeing the project managementdelivery team ensuring resources are allocated effectively andproject goals are achieved.
* Following allconstruction methodologies and successfully coordinating teams ofvarious disciplines to optimise project outcomes and achieve thebest results.
* Strategically minimisingconstruction expenditure without compromising on qualityidentifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiencyenhancement.
* Assisting in the development andimprovement of constructionrelated policies and systems ensuringcompliance and efficiency.
* Maintaining a highlevel of technical proficiency staying abreast of industryadvancements and best practice.
* Adhering toHealth & Safety policies and regulations prioritising thewellbeing of team members andstakeholders.
* Cultivating and maintainingstrong relationships with clients ensuring their needs are met andexpectations are exceeded.
* Driving continuousprocess improvements and innovation to maintain competitiveness inthe market.
* Ensuring operational signoff attender stages within your portfolio providing expertise andoversight.
* Offering ongoing feedback andinsights to the tendering team to enhance processes and improveoutcomes.
* Collaborating closely with Sales andTendering teams to understand project requirements and allocateresources effectively.
* Managing subcontractorcontracts meticulously ensuring compliance with milestones andcontractual obligations.
* Overseeing theplanning execution and completion of projects maintaining focus onquality timeliness andbudget.
ThePerson:
The ideal candidate willhave a proven background within senior management with experiencein grid connections or the HV industry. Ideally you will haveprevious experience working for an ICP (Independent ConnectionProvider) and/or a DNO (Distribution Network Operator).
The successful candidate will be selfmotivatedwith excellent communication interpersonal and management skillstogether with a good track record of interfacing with clients andkey stakeholders on projects. You will have a strong understandingof budget and cashflow management. You will be highly organisedwith the ability to problem solve act on your own initiative andmake decisions under pressure. Advanced IT skills will be requiredincluding confidence with Project Programming Software and the MSOffice suite.
A HNC/HND in ElectricalEngineering would be desirable as would a bachelors degree inelectrical engineering project management or a related field. Aproject management qualification such as APM/Prince2 would also bebeneficial.
