To support their continued growth, they are expanding their Planning team and seeking an experienced Planning Manager. This role is suited to professionals with at least five years of post-graduate experience in a planning consultancy, local authority, or residential development setting. The position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, contributing to long-term local development.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and related documentation
2. Manage planning submissions and maintain accurate records
3. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
4. Represent the company at Planning Committees and public consultations
5. Monitor and review local planning policies and updates
6. Conduct research to support planning applications and policy analysis
7. Coordinate with external consultants and evaluate their contributions
8. Maintain records of public consultations and planning decisions
9. Collaborate with the planning team to support project development.
Required Skills & Experience
10. Degree qualified in planning, urban planning, geography, or similar
11. 5+ years of industry experience
12. Experience liaising with local councils and contacts in the region
13. Strong knowledge of the planning process, regulations, and appeals process
14. Able to liaise with the public and council in forums
15. MRTPI is desirable.
