Role Overview: The Team Leader provides daily operational support to the Supervisor by coordinating workflow, guiding team members, and ensuring tasks are completed to the required standard. The role helps maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations, supports problem‑solving on the floor, and promotes a positive, productive working environment through clear communication and hands‑on leadership. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Foreperson to ensure the smooth running of the order despatch operation. Effectively communicate verbally with subordinates and supervision. Understand safe working practices within a manufacturing environment and maintain a safe working environment. Ensure all aspects of the job are completed in a timely manner. Assist with the training and development of colleagues to a high standard to help to create a skilled work force. Liaise with department Foreperson before making decisions whilst maintaining a professional and courteous manner. Oversee the department when the Foreperson in is not available and accept responsibility of supervising the department. Ensure a programme of continuous improvement in all activities. To partake in daily management meetings to understand requirements, plan and drive this with the team. Comply with company and statutory Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental and other policies Skills & Requirements: A good level of numeracy, literacy and IT Skills. Good Communication skills and good level of people skills. Excellent team working skills and the ability to work using own initiative. Good organisational skills is desirable. Able to work under pressure. A minimum of 6 months warehouse experience preferably in a picking/packing environment is desirable. Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
