Founded in 2006, Q-Mass has grown to employ 40 people with an annual turnover approaching £12M from our base in East Kilbride.
Following a very successful acquisition in 2024, which has enhanced the business even further, 2025 and beyond will be very exciting times ahead of growth and expansion for Q-Mass and as a result, we are now looking to expand our very talented workforce by recruiting an Account Manager to report into the Operations Manager.
This Account Manager role which reports into the Operations Manager represents a massive career opportunity for the successful individual to support Q-Mass’ growth plans. This prestigious role will involve being the support lead to the Operations Team which comprises Operations, Production and Engineering. You will act as a key interface between the aforementioned internal departments, customers, suppliers and sub-contractors.
In this challenging and very rewarding role, your key responsibilities will be to:
* Manage existing customer relationships at all levels to ensure constant communication is upheld at all stages of the customer journey.
* Manage 3rd party logistics suppliers effectively on an ongoing basis for both Q-Mass and customer requirements.
* Purchase and procure all materials and equipment from suppliers where necessary, ensuring the correct purchase order is in place.
* Manage and oversee all sub-contractor activity to ensure the production plan and “on time delivery” is maintained for the end customer.
* Provide customer updates at all stages of the process from order status, through production to delivery.
* Engender a culture of ‘Continuous Improvement’ and embrace the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality systems employed by the business.
* Attend staff and client meetings where required.
* Any other duties as required by your Line Manager.
For you to be successful at interview as the ideal candidate, you must be able to demonstrate an ability to:
* Manage own workload effectively in line with deadlines.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to prioritise.
* Adapt, to develop new skills and be resilient and responsive to change.
* Build and Manage internal and external relationships, across customers, suppliers and all departments within all levels of the business.
You must also clearly be able to demonstrate a proven track record of experience in:
* Account Management.
* Customer Relationship Building.
* Project Management.
It would be ideal if you also possessed any Industrial Manufacturing or Engineering knowledge, particularly if gained within Aerospace, Oil & Gas or Defence sectors. An Engineering degree may be advantageous however this is by no means necessary or essential.
