Senior Project Manager MHST

To project manage the roll out of the Mental Health Support Team future waves, utilising project management principles. The post holder will provide expertise for specific projects, work within clinical governance processes, and manage MHST wide projects across Nottinghamshire.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and facilitate the roll out of MHST across Nottinghamshire, delivering projects with minimal supervision.
* Collaborate with Operational Leads and Service Manager on future MHST waves.
* Produce project documentation (PIDs, Highlight Reports, risks and issues logs) following appropriate methodology.
* Deliver tasks within project workstreams and deputise for Operational Team Leads.
* Develop and manage a detailed project programme, identifying tasks, owners, dependencies and adjusting the plan as required.
* Provide timely and informative reports for stakeholders, including health informatics and external suppliers.
* Lead engagement with stakeholders, patients and public, including participation in internal and external working groups.
* Manage the project risk and issues register, liaising with local teams to identify, review and mitigate risks.
* Analyse performance data, interpret complex contracts and propose optimisation options.
* Contribute to the Trust's informatics strategy, specification development and system testing.
* Ensure projects are delivered in line with PRINCE2 standards and NHS England MHST requirements.
* Provide strategic support for 100% MHST coverage by 2030 and 2035, including coordination of MHSDS data analysis.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a subject related to project management.
* PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification or equivalent experience of leading projects.
* Experience managing projects in a multi‑disciplinary, NHS‑based environment, including MHST or CYP mental health services.
* Knowledge of NHS Informatics systems, policies and Information Governance.
* Experience in contract negotiation and detailed analysis of complex contracts.
* Strong communication skills – able to present complex information to all grades of staff and external stakeholders.
* Proven team working, motivational and influencing skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and flexibly in busy, high‑pressure environments.
* Leadership and facilitation ability, including training and mentoring.
* Resilient, innovative, computer‑literate and competent in using data analysis tools.

* Evidence of successful project delivery and achieved goals.
* Specific experience managing projects within MHST or comparable mental health service.
* Examples of interpreting data and providing timely feedback through appropriate channels.
* Successful outcomes of service improvement and collaborative partnership working with multi‑agency partners.
