We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Staff Nurse who holds a relevant specialist qualification or demonstrates a clear willingness to undertake further professional development within the specialty. The post holder will play a vital role in promoting and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for neonates, ensuring that clinical practice supports the best possible outcomes for patients and their families. You will provide expert support, advice, and guidance to colleagues across both hospital and community settings. A key aspect of the role will involve supporting the safe and effective discharge of babies from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Transitional Care. This includes undertaking home visits to assess ongoing care needs, monitor progress, and ensure families feel confident and supported in caring for their child. In addition, you will work closely with the NICU Nurse in Charge, contributing to the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the unit. Strong communication and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team are essential, enabling a coordinated, compassionate, and family-centred approach to care. Ensure continuity across services, providing support and discharge for babies admitted to NICU and Transitional Care going home.
