Job Summary
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Applied Psychologist (HCPC registered) or a Psychological Therapist (trained in an evidence based psychological therapy such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, registered with a relevant professional body) to join our Redcar community team at a time of community transformation. The role involves working collaboratively with a well‑established multi‑disciplinary team, using clinical leadership skills to embed psychological formulations and psychosocial interventions in everyday practice, and supporting the ongoing development of psychology professionals through CPD opportunities.
The post holder will work across the treatment & intervention team and the community hub delivering effective, safe and compassionate care. This role supports the wellbeing of our psychology team and places a strong emphasis on self‑care, maintaining a work/life balance, and building a positive working atmosphere.

Responsibilities
* Provide a governed psychological therapy (e.g. CBT, EMDR, flash) to staff experiencing stress and trauma in work.
* Deliver psychological interventions to our patient base using evidence based recognised techniques.
* Work collaboratively with the treatment and intervention team and community hub to embed psychological understanding into everyday practice.
* Use clinical leadership skills to embed formulations, psychological understanding and psychosocial interventions in routine care.
* Maintain outcomes‑focused service delivery and continuously develop clinical skills across a range of evidence‑based therapeutic approaches.
Person Specification
* Qualifications – Professional registration (e.g., HCPC) or CBT qualified and knowledge and skills assessment (KSA).
* Essential – Training – Trained in a governed psychological therapy (or in training).
* Essential – Knowledge – Understanding psychological services for staff.
* Essential – Experience – Delivery of a governed psychological therapy with a range of presentations.
* Desirable – Experience – Delivery of a governed psychological therapy with staff.

Other Information
Applicants must have current UK professional registration. The post is a fixed term, 12‑month, part‑time contract (Band 7) with a salary of £49,387 to £56,515 per annum (pro‑rata).
