Part Time 20 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends

British Garden Centre is excited to announce the opening of our new Garden Centre and Restaurant in Havant. We are seeking skilled Chefs/Cooks to prepare delicious meals according to our menu. Your role will involve cooking dishes that delight our customers and ensuring timely delivery.

An excellent Chef/Cook should be able to follow instructions carefully, move efficiently in the kitchen, and multitask effectively. Experience with various ingredients and cooking techniques is essential. Flexibility with weekends and overtime is required.

The goal is to maintain and enhance our reputation to expand our clientele.

* Closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and Easter Sunday.

Skills needed:

* Experience working in a busy kitchen.
* Creativity in making dishes and ability to follow specifications.
* Carvery experience is an advantage.
* Knowledge of HACCP.
* Ability to manage multiple orders.
* Professionalism and reliability.
* Calmness under pressure.
* Good time management.
* Level 2 basic food hygiene (advantage).

Duties include:

* Carvery preparation and service.
* Coaching and developing team members.
* Managing deliveries.
* Food preparation and presenting specials.
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting food efficiently to a high standard.
* Monitoring portion sizes and waste.
