Overview
The job involves supporting the emotional needs of the children and young people from Dorset who have ME/CFS and delivering flexible, brief, evidence-based interventions. You will work alongside a specialist, experienced team.
This post is for an experienced practitioner who has the skills and experience to work psychologically with children and young people with ME/CFS who have complex needs.
This post is for 8.25 hours per week. The post holder may be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
 * Provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery, always considering people’s safety, privacy and dignity.
 * Provide specialist care and interventions, assessments, and managing patients on a caseload as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.
 * Provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of service users.
 * Devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately.
 * Plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
 * Provide supervision, mentorship, training and support to other members of the team.
Requirements / Qualifications
 * Experienced practitioner with the skills and experience to work psychologically with children and young people with ME/CFS who have complex needs.
 * Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
 * Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required. The Trust will cover the cost. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
 * Applications from candidates that require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply for this position.
