On behalf of a leading national main contractor, we are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead a flagship industrial construction project in Birmingham. This is a unique opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation for excellence and a healthy pipeline of work.
The Company:
With a turnover exceeding £500m, our client is a highly respected national main contractor, specialising in the delivery of significant residential and industrial projects up to a value of £200m. They are renowned for their commitment to quality, health and safety, and timely project delivery. The Role:
As the Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a new-build, £50m industrial development. This is a hands-on role where you will be the driving force behind the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full ownership of the project from pre-construction through to final handover.
* Leading and motivating a multi-disciplinary project team.
* Managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including programming, risk management, and quality control.
* Fostering strong relationships with the client, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Monitoring and reporting on project progress to senior management.
* Managing project budgets and procurement processes.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A minimum of 10 years' experience as a Project Manager in a main contractor environment.
* Proven experience in the successful delivery of large-scale industrial or commercial projects, ideally with a value of £30m+.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
* Exceptional commercial and contractual awareness.
* Relevant construction qualification (e.g., Degree in Construction Management, HNC/HND).
* SMSTS and CSCS Black Card certification.
* Based in or able to commute to the Birmingham area.
Remuneration:
This is a senior-level position with a highly competitive package on offer.
* Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 per annum
