Village Vet Milton is a very busy, progressive and forward thinking veterinary hospital. Open 24/7 365 days of the year, we pride ourselves on both our day to day and emergency veterinary care. We also work closely with other local practices providing 24 hour support as their emergency veterinary provider We are currently seeking an evening Client Care Assistant to join our team. You will be front of house, welcoming clients and their pets into the branch, and your shifts will cover some of our emergency hours in the evening. Being efficient, pleasant and courteous to clients and their animals at all times. Ensuring a smooth client and pet flow from the waiting area to the consult room to payment processing. Cleaning the consultation and waiting areas throughout the evening. We would like to hear from candidates who are customer-focused and confident communicators. The position will best suit a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service, who is calm and able to demonstrate empathy in an emergency. The successful applicant will be working front of house in our reception areas. Taking calls for our emergency service, taking payments, speaking with clients and undertaking general administrative tasks, within a small friendly team of night staff. Hours: 17.5 hour per week, ( £11,220.30 p.a ) Mon 6pm - 11pm Tues 6pm - 11pm and alternate weekends Fri, Sat and Sun 6pm - 11pm Contract Type: Part Time Key responsibilities Manage and deal with appointment bookings in a professional and efficient manner Support the business with a range of administrative duties Have a high level of attention to detail Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and still maintain a high level of customer service and completing all tasks to a high standard Show awareness of financial control within the practice Be happy to discuss financial issues with clients if needs be Management of the practice diary to ensure all patients are booked in efficiently according to the hospital conditions and urgency of the case Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards Make sure communication is to a high standard with referring vets and colleagues Ensure that a high standard of client care is maintained at all times Work closely with your vet and neighbouring branches Serving customers and taking payments, advising customers on products and services Banking duties Skills, knowledge and experience Essential: A proactive, positive attitude Adapt well to learning a new system if no previous experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Highly motivated to provide excellent service to clients and the practice Works well within a team and be a positive member of the team Ability to work at a fast working pace under pressure and managing own workload when the branch runs at a slower pace Professional approach to work Excellent administration, organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail Excellent IT skills – Microsoft (Outlook, Word and Excel).
