The Role:
* Reporting directly to Financial Controller.
* Take ownership for completing the month-end close.
* Put together monthly management accounts and reports.
* Review and check financial results to make sure they make sense.
* Look after the nominal ledger, cash book, and fixed asset registers.
* Do monthly stock reconciliations.
* Keep track of key accruals and prepayments from different departments.
* Reconcile control accounts, including inter-company and suspense accounts.
* Complete Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual returns for the Office of National Statistics.
* Help with the year-end audit file and prepare the first draft of statutory accounts.
* Manage purchase order processing and service codes.
* Prepare and submit both UK and Irish VAT returns.
The Candidate:
* AAT level 4 qualified (or studying towards ACA/ACCA or CIMA) quals.
* Ideally have prior experience working within a manufacturing company. Will look at people currently working in Accountancy practices, but wanting to move into Manufacturing.
* Good knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
* Knowledge of SQL reporting - experience with Microsoft Power Query a big advantage!
