The Royal Northern College of Music is a leading international conservatoire specialising in learning programmes of the highest quality. Throughout the year its state-of-the-art venue and concert facilities play host to a multitude of unique and inspiring acts and artists. The RNCM also boasts several large and small scale venues which are available to hire for corporate and community events.
We are seeking hardworking, customer focused people to work casually as part of the front of house usher team. Our team assist in the safe and enjoyable delivery of the wide variety of events across the many venue spaces at the RNCM.
Reporting to the Duty Manager, duties will include checking tickets, helping to seat patrons, selling programmes and artist merchandise when applicable, proactively responding to customer needs, providing critical support in the event of an evacuation, and ensuring the highest levels of venue professionalism are delivered. Excellent customer service skills are required for this role.
Shifts times and hours of work are varied depending on upcoming performances. This role is offered under a casual agreement, offering flexibility to both the college and employee.
Successful candidates must be free to attend a mandatory training and induction session on Wednesday 24 September 2025. Candidates will be able to choose either a daytime or evening training slot on this date.
