Responsibilities: 1. Command and control of one of the HOTR UOTCs Aberdeen or Tayforth (located at Dundee, Aberdeen, St Andrews or Stirling). 2. Promote a positive leadership culture, underpinned by the Army Leaders Competency Framework. 3. Support the professional development and career management of subordinates, including mid period and annual appraisals. 4. Ensure that all detachment activities take place within a Safe System of Training (safe person, safe equipment, safe place, safe practice). 5. Execute an effective training programme, focussed on the development of leadership skills and behaviours, as directed by OC Tayforth / Aberdeen UOTC. 6. Manage the detachment’s facilities and equipment, in accordance with the Unit Care Directive (UCD). 7. In consultation with the Regt 2IC, provide advice, guidance, and signposting to OCdts as they progress through the AOSB pipeline. 8. Plan and deliver specific projects, as directed by OC Tayforth / Aberdeen UOTC and CO Aberdeen & Tayforth OTR
