About The Role
We're looking for a confident and capable Internal Sales Executive to join our trade sales team.
This is a crucial role focused on building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers, handling outbound calls, and driving opportunities through our sales pipeline.
You will be part of a close-knit internal team working alongside our field sales reps to generate leads, manage accounts, and ensure a great experience for every trade customer.
This role is suitable for someone who is commercially savvy, enjoys sales conversations, and understands how to communicate with large manufacturing businesses, SMEs, and sole traders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outbound calling to prospective and existing trade customers.
2. Managing customer relationships by understanding their needs, timelines, and material requirements, providing timely support and solutions.
3. Managing day-to-day customer engagement and account growth.
4. Updating and managing data and pipeline stages in our CRM system.
5. Working closely with field sales to share insights, book visits, and follow up on opportunities.
6. Supporting internal team collaboration and sharing learnings across the group.
7. Reporting sales activity and customer feedback directly to the Sales Director.
Must-Have Skills and Experience
* A proven track record in internal sales or account management.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Confident phone manner and a natural relationship-builder.
* Well-organised and comfortable managing multiple accounts.
* Competent in using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Self-motivated but also a good team player.
Preferred Experience
Previous B2B sales experience ideally within:
* Windows and doors / fenestration industry
* Physical trade product sales (e.g., door hardware)
* SaaS sales into trade or SME accounts
Experience in account management or customer service within a commercial environment and understanding of the sales cycle are also advantageous.
Package
Salary: £30k with OTE of £40k+
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Hybrid office and home working available.
