To be successful in this role, you’ll have previous experience leading a team in a dynamic retail or hospitality environment. You’ll champion our mission and values to create the Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. You’ll understand your market, know the competition, and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and business growth. You’ll also be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners feel they belong.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! As a store leader, working in one of our dynamic stores, you’ll set an example and lead from the front on shift. A typical day could include:
1. Executing store operations through your team, including opening, closing, and covering weekends and shifts, even on your days off
2. Analyzing data and observations in-store to inform decision-making that enhances customer experience and store performance
3. Using forecasting and scheduling tools to manage labor within budget and recruit diverse, talented partners
4. Cascading and implementing new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive results
5. Supporting partner growth through performance management, coaching, and building positive relationships
6. Setting challenging yet achievable goals to boost engagement and partner performance
Our stores' working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
All partners start with an introductory training program led by in-store trainers and coaches, immersing you in Starbucks culture and setting you up for success. These programs are delivered in-store and support on-the-job learning.
