Our client is seeking a passionate, experienced Residential Care Home Manager to take the lead in launching and managing a 3-bed Children's Home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
Unique Opportunity
This role begins on a part-time basis (1-3 days/week) for the first 9-12 months during the setup phase, with full-time pay from day one. Full-time hours will commence once the home opens.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and register the home in line with Ofsted and local authority standards.
Lead all operational aspects, ensuring high-quality, therapeutic, child-centred care.
Recruit, supervise, and support the care team.
Develop and oversee tailored care plans for each child.
Maintain high safeguarding standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with families, professionals, and agencies.
Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
What They're Looking For:
Proven experience managing or deputising in a children's residential setting.
NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care/Leadership.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and children's residential care regulations.
A compassionate, resilient, and organised leader.
Desirable:
Experience working with children with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
Familiarity with Ofsted inspections and local authority processes.
