Job Description
PURPOSE
The Senior Regulations Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and compliance of cricket across England and Wales. This position ensures the effective management of immigration processes, regulatory compliance, and player eligibility across all levels of the game. Acting as the ECB’s subject matter expert, the role fosters strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that governance, operational standards, and regulatory frameworks are upheld in line with national and international requirements.

YOU’LL BE DOING
You will deliver and support Domestic Professional & Recreational Competitions:
As Senior Regulations Manager, you’ll be the ECB’s go-to expert on immigration, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with the Home Office to support the game at every level. You’ll apply your deep knowledge of immigration rules and your experience in sport to influence and guide key stakeholders—including Professional County Clubs, The Hundred, and recreational leagues—ensuring full compliance across the board. You’ll proactively identify and address regulatory changes and provide expert advice to internal teams, empowering them to take ownership of immigration-related decisions.
Overseeing and managing the process for Governing Body Endorsements under the Points Based Managed Migration System for the England and Wales Cricket Board (All levels of the game – from recreational to Team England)
Manage and oversee Regulation compliance within the Professional County Clubs and The Hundred, in particular ensuring compliance with registration, eligibility and England qualification regulations
Manage and oversee the activity of Cricket Agents and hold them accountable against the regulations that govern such activity
Manage and oversee the operational requirement relating to overseas cricket events and No Objection Certificates
Manage and oversee Developing England Player PRFP requirements of the Professional County Clubs in relation to the County Partnerships Agreement.
To ensure compliance in relation to player contracts (Professional County Clubs)
Manage and oversee the day-to-day functionality of the Player Development Compensation Payment system and to authorise payments accordingly.
To act as the subject matter expert in all relevant areas as they apply to the County Partnership agreement.
Managing 2-3 other members of the regulatory team alongside your own caseload
Communicating complex policy and regulations to stakeholders at all levels of the game
Influencing policy decisions across cricket’s regulatory spectrum
Implementing policy fairly and equitably
YOU’LL HAVE
A solid understanding of cricket rules and regulations and their application
A working knowledge of Home Office immigration policies and requirements as they relate to migrant cricket players and coaches
An ability to manage your own workload and the workload of others in a high-volume environment
An ability to work flexibly including out of normal working hours
