We’re on the lookout for a reliable and motivated Recycling Refuse Driver/Loader to join our frontline team at Huntingdonshire District Council. This is a key role in delivering vital services to our communities, and we need someone who can lead from the front.
Location: Eastfield House, Huntingdon
Hours: Monday - Friday, from 6am - 2pm.
What you must have (essential - applications without this will not be considered):
HGV Class C Licence
CPC Qualification
A strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a safety-first mindset.
What you’ll do:
You’ll drive and operate our collection vehicles, lead your crew on daily rounds, carry out vehicle checks, and ensure safe, efficient waste and recycling collections. You’ll also use in-cab tech to log issues and complete your round. When not driving, you’ll support the team by loading bins, working outdoors in all weather, and engaging with the public in a polite and professional manner.
