This role is based at a small to medium-sized company with almost 200 staff on site within a first-class engineering team. Their products are manufactured on site at their facility based in Segensworth near Fareham, Hampshire.

The Role
You’ll be involved in all aspects of product design including New Product Introduction and support for existing products. Joining a team of talented and multi-skilled engineers, you will be responsible for designing and validating products for the Aerospace industry amongst others. You will analyze customer requirements, prepare 3D models and drawings, and support technical documentation for manufacture. As a source of technical knowledge, you will provide specialist support to internal and external teams. The company designs and manufactures complex mechanical products that are machined, fabricated, assembled, and tested on site, and you will play a vital part in this. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, especially in the heavily regulated aerospace industry where products are qualified to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

What do I need?
* A form of mechanical engineering certification, relating apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or degree
* Experience in industry already
* Good understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM)
* 3D CAD experience
* Proven problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with different departments and facilities
* Current eligibility to work in the UK and commute to Segensworth readily
