Job Description
We are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to support a well established company based in Kingswinford.The main duties will be :
o Managing Payroll and pensions
o Customer payments
o Supplier payments
o Manage parts of the HR function with external professional support (no experience required)
o Sales and purchase invoice entry
o Recording and reconciliation of bank and PayPal transactions
o Assist clients/suppliers with any bookkeeping related queries
o Liaise with HMRC as necessary to reconcile VAT/PAYE control accounts
o Posting month end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals and
PrepaymentsSkills & Experience Required:
o Proficient in Microsoft Excel - advanced user level
o Proficient in Sage 50
o A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes.
o Strong communication, organisation, and multitasking skills
o Commercially savvy with a focus on the customer
o Proven experience in a similar role is essential.
o Company focused with a can-do attitude
o Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
o The ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines.
o A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
o Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (preferred but not essential).
In return we will provide a competitive salary, hours of work, Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 2pm, annual holiday 23 days per annum plus public holidays.
