Senior Commercial Manager – Major Infrastructure (M&E Focus)

A leading infrastructure business with a strong M&E bias is looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to play a key leadership role across a portfolio of technically complex projects.
This is an opportunity to step into a senior position overseeing high-value schemes across data centres, pharmaceutical, and food manufacturing sectors, working within a business known for
delivering large-scale, design-led projects.
You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a commercial team, driving performance, and ensuring robust commercial governance across multiple projects.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading a commercial team including Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Assistant QSs
* Overseeing project financials – cost reporting, forecasting, and profit planning
* Providing strategic commercial direction across multiple live projects
* Reviewing and challenging project performance, cost plans, and commercial strategies
* Ensuring strong contract management across JCT Design & Build and some NEC frameworks
* Working closely with operational and delivery teams to drive value and mitigate risk
What we’re looking for:
* Strong background in M&E-focused projects within large infrastructure or complex build environments
* Proven experience managing and developing commercial teams
* Deep understanding of JCT Design & Build contracts (NEC experience beneficial)
* Highly commercial mindset with the ability to challenge, influence, and drive performance
* Comfortable working in a hybrid environment across site, office, and home
