Role Description
This is a full-time role for a National Account Manager Builders Merchants, located in Brandon. The National Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with the central buying functions and Regional Directors in the builders' merchant sector, identifying new business in yard and supporting the Regional Directors in developing their Directs business. Conducting market research, attending client meetings, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and the timely delivery of products.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in account management and sales
* Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
* Understanding of the construction industry and builders' merchant's sector
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience in the concrete manufacturing industry is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field would be ideal
This role is a balance between being in the field, when not, will be based in our Brandon office. 95% of our sales are within the East Anglia, London and Southeast area, with specified products going further afield. The role will cover the main National Merchants and their central offices, plus the independent sector. Any applicant must be able to daily commute to our offices in Brandon (IP27 0AX). Reporting to the Chief Operating officer, the role will be part of their senior team, with the team covering Marketing, Quotes, Customer Service, Transport, IT and Health & Safety.
The package comes with a base salary of £50,000, a bonus scheme that has paid out historically between 15-20%, either a company car (EV option only) or car allowance, 25 days holiday plus Bank.
