We are recruiting for a Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner-Nuclear Medicine who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The post is based in the nuclear medicine department, which is part of the wider radiation services team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
The nuclear medicine department provides diagnostic, in-vitro investigations and radionuclide therapies to cancer and non-cancer patients and provides specialist scientific advice and technical support to nuclear medicine services within the Trust and to nuclear medicine services at other hospitals.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will undertake a Level 6 apprenticeship Healthcare Science Practitioner training program with specialism in Nuclear Medicine.
You will also work alongside the clinical scientists, healthcare science practitioners and radiographers in the Nuclear Medicine department to deliver the clinical nuclear medicine service to cancer and non-cancer patients.
With appropriate supervision, you will need to participate in imaging and in-vitro diagnostic clinical protocols and assist with therapeutic clinical procedures and participate in the delivery of the radiopharmacy service.

ENHT is seeking to maintain and expand the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre staff as we move to an exciting new future.

In addition, you will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,552 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata.

* A level qualification and / or science foundation qualification to meet entry requirements for level 6 apprenticeship in Healthcare Science

* Working in a healthcare setting or working with the general public
